What’s up (mars / avril 2018)
The temperatures are softening and the days are getting longer: spring is soon here! To celebrate the return of the beautiful days, the team of my villa in Provence recommends some outings in Provence for the months of March and April.
THE EXHIBITIONS
You had already heard about the Careers of Lights in the What’s Up October. For 2018, this beautiful immersive and digital exhibition space located in Les Baux-de-Provence hosts a new exhibition: “Picasso and the Spanish Masters”. A true invitation to travel through the digitized works of the famous painters Zuloaga, Rusiñol, Picasso and Goya. A multimedia creation depicting a century of Spanish painting that will appeal to young and old alike.

From February 21st to September 16th, escape to Martigues for a free exhibition. Félix Ziem is a multi-faceted artist, painter, watercolourist and draftsman. He has worked on all types of artistic techniques. He became famous thanks to his paintings of Venice and Constantinople. The Ziem Museum also organizes sketch tours open to the general public.

THE PLACE TO BE
To welcome the sweetness of spring what could be better than a carnival? Every year, the city of Arles offers a great colourful parade mixing giant puppets, world music, quirky costumes, Chinese dragons … The parade will take place Sunday, April 8 in the city centre of Arles. We are waiting for you dressed in your best suit.

For family outings and take care of children, go to Avignon during the month of April for a festival dedicated to young audiences. Dance, music, theater or all three at once, the Festo Pitcho offers 70 different shows for children for its 12th edition. Another particularity of this festival, it takes place in different cities around Avignon: Carpentras, Caumont-sur-Durance, Cavaillon, Chateauneuf-de-Gadagne, Mazan, Valréas, etc.
